ROOT BEER CONNOISSEURS

My nephew and I love Root Beer. We love it so much that we drink it out of a wine glass. Root Beer should be appreciated ! Especially when you're drinking Virgil's Root Beer. You've probably already tried it, but if you haven't, then what are you waiting for ? It's the best Root Beer you can buy.

Look at this list of all natural international ingredients !

anise from Spain
licorice from France
vanilla (bourbon) from Madagascar
cinnamon from Ceylon
clove from Indonesia
wintergreen from China
sweet birch from the southern US
molasses from the US
nutmeg from Indonesia
pimento berry oil from Jamaica
balsam oil from Peru
cassia oil from China
carbonated water
unbleached cane sugar

Read more about Virgil's Root Beer HERE.

Beadle

Wow! I didn't know you're a root beer connoisseur! So am I. I have never heard of Virgil's. Where can I get some?

My favourite is Henry Weinhard's Root Beer. It's very creamy and smooth.

London Station Market in Steveston sells it, but I think you can also buy it at Caper's.

Weinhard's is good, but I think Virgil's is better.

capers sells it. I love rootbeer too! Always on the hunt for a new one. Virgil's is by far the best in the land. It makes an excellent float.

My mom has stories about *making* root beer with *her* grandmother, which I think must have been amazing...

I concur with Mr. Beadle's assessment, this is a fine, fine Root Beer.

Who knew a post about Root Beer would garner so many responses?

In other news, the Word Verification for this post was "flessel"... which isn't even a word! That's BULLSHIT!

Hey, this is the root beer that's referenced in World War Z (page 142?).

That alone makes it the best root beer ever made.

Though my choice depends on my mood, here's how I break it down:
1. Weinhart's - sweet, smooth, caramel
2. Real Brew - simple, home-made
3. Virgil's - spicy, interesting

I decided to confirm my above impression with a side-by-side taste test. Virgil's has slightly too much of a licorice finish for my taste, but is otherwise excellent. Real Brew is more of a value root beer and has a clean uncluttered taste, though it is slightly sweeter.

I've created an ideal blend, about 5:1 Virgil's to Real Brew. Still the strong character of Virgil's, but it takes the edge off the licorice finish in the interest of smoothness.
