We just bought this beautiful Broom from the GRANVILLE ISLAND BROOM COMPANY.
They've been in business on Granville Island for just over 2 months now. There are hundreds of types of brooms to choose from. The one that we chose is a floor broom with a natural branch handle. Or maybe the broom chose us ? :)
The two sisters that run the shop come from a family of broom makers. They've been making them for over 20 years. The store is set up in a way so that you can even watch them assemble the brooms. They make great gifts, and if you take care of them they can last a lifetime. If the broom ever needs repair they can also fix it for you too.
Sure we could have bought a broom at wal-mart for $6.99, but that same broom would probably be toxic landfill in a year.
You know you're getting old when things like Brooms excite you. HAHA !
Anyways, I highly recommend the GRANVILLE ISLAND BROOM COMPANY the next time you need to buy a broom.
