S.A.L.T.S. (SAIL AND LIFE TRAINING SOCIETY)
Last week I spent a day at sea with a group of the guys I'm working with. It was a once in a lifetime experience. The tall ship we were on belonged to a sea training society called SALTS. The ship was called THE PACIFIC SWIFT. SALTS is based out of the Victoria inner Harbour. The SALTS crew let us have free run of the ship for the entire day. We climbed the sails, steered the ship, and launched the lifeboat ! The main thing I learned was that it takes a lot of rope to sail a ship. Everything is connected by ropes !
